More than 450 attendees from the scientific community, academe, business and industry sectors, local government units, regional line agencies, national government agencies, and private sector participated in the activities.
Carrying the theme “Agham at Teknolohiya: Tugon sa Hámon ng Panahon,” this is the second time the said weeklong science and technology (S&T) festivity was celebrated virtually due to the restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. The forums organized by the DOST-MIMAROPA were part of the ancillary events held simultaneously across the country by different DOST agencies, institutions, and regional offices that ran from November 22-28.
“To our participants from the industry and business sectors, academe, LGUs, regional line agencies, and other sectors, we may see science as an ally to empower ourselves, our families, our communities, and the people we serve,” said Dr. Abilay.
